Z.E.R.O : Zombie Elimination and Rescue Operatives

Jeffrey Knight is a down on his luck self proclaimed loser. He can't keep a job, forced into hours of work in the hell that is retail. His only stable thing in his life was his relationship with his longtime girlfriend…that is until he catches her cheating on him. Now with nothing left, he begrudgingly agrees to join his best friend on a night of fake zombie hunting paintball. The only solace he has in his pitiful life. That is, until he learns zombies are real…

Jennifer Mayer has spent her whole life hunting monsters. Working tirelessly for a secret organization of mercenaries to protect normal citizens from learning the truth. However, there are a growing number of undead, and her organization leaders refuse to believe her that something catastrophic is coming. She is in need of new recruits to prevent a coming “Day of the Dead” event.

After saving Jeff from near death Jennifer takes him on as a pupil. Jennifer must train Jeff in everything she knows while avoiding the growing feelings and memories he reignites in her -- feelings she thought she buried long ago.

Jeff has never finished anything in his life, allowing his fears to stop him. If he chokes up now, there might not be a normal world to go back to.

Characters:

Jeffrey Knight

Hapless Hero?

Jeff considers himself a self proclaimed loser. He's never finished anything in his life; always letting his fears get in his way. He can't keep a job, his girlfriend cheated on him, and he has never finished anything...not even his black belt in Tae Kwon Do.

His only known accomplishments? Being a zombie media expert along with his friend Adam.

Who knew the night he agreed to play zombie paintball that he would find a real zombie and be thrusted into a secret world of monsters and those that hunt them.

Femme Fatales

Jennifer has spent her whole life hunting monsters since her family was murdered by them. Now the leader of a secret mercenary group that kills all threats to humanity.

She hides the pain of those she lost, but focusing only on her work.

A new zombie epidemic is brewing, and Jennifer's commanders don't believe her. With a shortage of soldiers and support, Jennifer seeks to recruit new soldiers, outside of the Z.E.R.O family bloodlines.

Jennifer Mayer

Demon

Vampire

Demon is a very old being. No one in ZERO knows his exact age. He is one of few vampires that willingly works with Z.E.R.O.

He operates as the Units' medic, as some of his vampire abilities has some healing effects.

Demon and Jennifer have a complicated past. They dated once, and still hook up occasionally when they need it. He would say she is his one love...after Lillith, his first love that passed many decades before. Unfortunately for him, Jennifer didn't feel the same.

Disgruntled Commander

Hammer is the Commander of the Tampa division of Z.E.R.O. To many he comes off as a pompous asshole. To Jennifer, he is her hard headed adopted brother.

He leaves the command of their elite unit Alpha Team to Jennifer. Only butting in when he feels absolutly necessary.

He doesn't believe Jennifer is right that an undead epidemic is building, and bregrudgingly agrees to let her take on Jeff as a new recruit.

Tactician

Rick Mathews code named "Sentinel" because he is the tactian and guardian of Alpha Squad.

Skilled not only in military prow-ness, due to his marine background, he is also skilled in computer software and hacking.

Sentinel comes across as a bit of a flirt with his smooth Texan slang.
